So the little getaway we needed was just basically to get away from Singapore, even if that means catching a ferry ride to Batam and spending 2 nights there. Haha. We had possibly the worst culture shock upon arrival as we were dragged to The Spa Secret and mind you it was our first time. And we got the couple room. Can I say awkward with a capital A. I'm not used to seeing a naked Knisa eventhough she's my bestfriend, we have our boundaries. So that whole spa/massage/scrub/bathtub thing was spent in fits of laughter and pure shyness. Haha but, it made our skin super smooth and clean so cheers to that!
The spa thing was a mistake as it made us pretty relaxed and sleepy for the whole trip. I guess the masseuse pressed the exact accurate spots for total relaxation on our bodies, so most of the time we were lazing around and being so chilled like that. We did visit some places and got some sight-seeing and ate alot of food. Batam is not much, but it's better than Singapore in a sense, it's not crowded. And I hate crowds so, I pretty much had a well-deserved rest.
After 3D2N, we came back to Singapore greeted with rain and kind of a slap back to reality. All these traffic jams and foreigners and crazy-ass aunties pushing me everywhere, it never gets old. Good job, Lion City.
